Looking at the Exponential Potential in Renewable Energy Sector we have started Biomass Briquette Manufacturing from last two years. Since then we are able to build very decent raw material sourcing network and hence developed very good capability to cater Big Purchase Orders.
Importance & Advantages of Bio-Mass Briquettes compared to other fuels.
Briquettes are better than coal as it is Carbon neutral. Secondly it reduces wood fire so it saves trees. Oil, coal or lignite, once used, cannot be replaced and have devastating impact on Environment. There is no sulphur in Briquettes, thus does not pollutes the environment. Biomass briquettes have a higher Calorific value & varieties of Raw Materials are available. Briquettes have much lower ash content (2-10% as compared to 20-40% in coal).Combustion is more uniform compared to Coal due to its inherent porous nature. Briquettes are usually produced near the consumption centres and supplies do not depend on erratic transport from long distances.
Briquettes give much higher boiler efficiency because of low moisture, good calorific value and lowash content. Briquettes are easy to store, pack and hygienic to handle. Being indigenous it saves precious FOREX reserves by reducing dependence on imported coal and oil.
